1. Information We Collect

The App collects the following information only as needed:

• Location: Used to retrieve moonrise/moonset times and weather for your current location. Collected only when you grant the OS-level location permission. If permission is not granted or you have manually selected a city, the App uses the coordinates of the city you chose.
• Diary text, mood tags, moon age, weather information: Diary text and mood tags you enter, plus the moon age, moon phase, and weather information for that day. These are stored only in local storage on your device by default.
• App settings: Notification toggles, reminder times, display preferences, language. Stored locally on your device.

2. Data Sent to Third-Party Services

The App sends the minimum information necessary to the following services to provide its features:

• OpenWeatherMap (weather data): Latitude and longitude are sent to the OpenWeatherMap API to retrieve current weather. Diary text and personally identifying information are not sent.
• Google Gemini API ("Tonight's Words" generation): When you use the AI feature, the diary text, mood tag, moon age, moon phase, and weather information you have entered are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a short message. The data sent does not include directly identifying information such as your name, email address, or device identifiers. These transmissions occur only when the corresponding feature is in use. The data sent is not stored on our servers.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The App does not store user data on any server outside your device by default. Diary text, mood tags, and settings are all stored in local storage on your device (Hive / SharedPreferences).

If you back up your device (iCloud Backup, Google Drive Backup, etc.), the data may be backed up to the cloud per your OS backup settings. Such backups are managed by the OS provider (Apple / Google) and we do not have access to them.

4. Notifications

All notifications from the App (diary reminder, moon-viewing notification, etc.) are local notifications running on your device. We do not use any push notification servers and we cannot read the content or destination of these notifications.

5. Analytics and Advertising

The App does not include any analytics SDK or advertising SDK that tracks user behavior. We also do not use any SDK for crash reporting or usage analytics.

6. Payment Information

Premium purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play payment system. Payment details such as credit card numbers are managed by Apple / Google and we do not have access to them. We use only the receipt information issued by the store to confirm the validity of a purchase.

7. Children's Use

The App is intended for all ages, but we do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from users under the age of 13.

8. Your Rights

You can perform the following actions at any time:

• Export or import your diary data from the Settings screen
• Delete all diary data, settings, and caches stored on the device using "Delete all data" in Settings
• Revoke location and notification permissions in your device's OS settings

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through the App or the App Store listing. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
